After Christmas is over and the tree and decorations have been taken down everything tends to look a little bland and bare, I like to use this time to de-clutter and spruce up my home. You don’t have to re-decorate the whole house to change things up, just buying a few key products can make a huge difference and it doesn’t have to break the bank. So when Matalan asked me to pick some of my favourite homeware items I jumped at the chance. 
First up… these gorgeous dusky pink Mongolian faux fur cushions I had been searching for cushions like this for a long time but I couldn’t justify the price. I literally could not believe my eyes when I saw that these cushions were just £8.00 each. They come filled, that isn’t just the price for a cushion cover, they are so comfy, I have been telling everyone about them, literally. Perfect for adding a subtle pop of colour to my bedroom.
If you are a frequent reader of this blog, you will know how much I love my novelty mugs, so this choice will not be a surprise to you! I made a bee-line for this alphabet letter mug the moment I saw it in the store, polka dots, gold, my initial in a pretty font for just £5.00? – I am there. It looks so pretty on my bedside table. I know my friends would love these too, wouldn’t they make a fab birthday gift with a little box of chocolates inside or some fancy marshmallows.
This soft grey cloud print throw is the softest thing in the world (probably) This was actually in the kids section but I love the muted soft grey and dusky pink colours together. I love the cloud pint, very scandi style!
Yes, even I, a self confessed dog obsessed woman could not resist this cute cat mug It has a heart for a nose, and teeny-tiny pink triangles for ears, just look at it! Naturally I filled it with hot chocolate, pink and white marshmallows and heaps of whipped cream.
Oh come on, of course I bought the dog version. These cuties were just £4.00 each and I absolutely love them
How beautiful are these satin striped pyjamas ? They feel seriously luxurious, for just £16.00! I love the cotton candy pink against the white, I almost wish I had picked up two pairs now!
So thats my Matalan homeware picks! I love how everything is bang on trend, yet affordable without skimping on the quality. What’s your favourite product from this post? Mine would have to be the cushions, they are perfect!

Love these picks! I will definitely be picking up the cushions, been meaning to add a pop of pink to my room. I’ve also noticed that there is super cute pom pom throws on their website as well in grey and white, I’m hoping they’ll bring out a pink one 🙂 Matalan is SUCH an underrated shop but they do such good homeware!
