One of my guilty pleasures is buying home accessories, from scented candles, to decorative accessories and little knick-knacks I just can’t seem to stop, now that the Christmas decorations are down I went on a little shabby chic buying spree… You could call me a hoarder of shabby chic things? I’d happily take that. 
I bought this glass vase from the pound shop, I then decided to paint it white as the glass had a green coloured tinge to it, after a coat of paint or two, I let it air dry over-night and then filled it with some cheap yet cheerful £3.00 pretty pink roses from Tesco, they instantly brightened up the place! 
This white metal clock was from The Range (£3.99), Tom bought my mum one for Christmas and I loved it so much that I ordered one for myself. I have a bad habit of checking my phone during the night to check the time, this results in me seeing notifications and opening twitter, scrolling through instagram, the lot. Not the best thing to do for a good nights sleep, this little clock has stopped all that, hurrah!
I was lucky enough to be sent this gorgeous candle from The White Company to try from their recently released range Lime and Bay, it smells absolutely amazing. It is such a strong, vibrant scent, pink grapefruit, lemon, lime, mandarin, ginger and patchouli, I think men would also love this scent it’s so refreshing, a great gift for anyone! The whole range is available to buy on their website now, from candles, to tea-lights and dreamy scented room sprays. This specific candle is priced at £25.00 
I love the looks of this wooden storage box also from The Range, I also love finding homeware bargains in the likes of Home bargains, B&M and Asda, if you are on a budget. This Home box lifts up to reveal nine little compartments, you can use them for anything, storing make-up, stationery, etc etc 
I fill them with all of my different scented tea-lights, pretty and practical storage – perfect. What do you think of my homeware buys?

Using a bedside clock is such a great idea – I did try it for a while and left my phone downstairs and I slept so much better (and earlier!) for it… unfortunately the hubby couldn’t stand the alarm on it…. this reminds me to go look for one with a slightly better wake up ringtone!

Lovely post! I love little homely things! I will definitely be purchasing the ‘Home’ box and may even treat myself to the Lime & Bay candle as I’ve seen it everywhere recently! You always find beautiful flowers and it makes me look a little harder at the supermarket to see if I can find the bargains you do. I finally found some tulips in Tesco for £3 and they have made a big difference to my bedroom! Thanks again!
