I was so excited when I was sent a sample of Yves Saint Laurent’s Teint Touche Éclat foundation to try!
My mum has always carried a YSL Touche Éclat concealer in her make up bag, for as long as i can remember…
so I couldn’t wait to see what their foundation had to offer.
I was matched to the shade BD30 ‘warm almond’
I am in-between MAC shades NC20 and NC25.
I do tend to lean towards NC25, especially after applying fake tan.

Priced at £32.50 it definitely falls into the high-end category when it comes to foundations.
Personally I have always been willing to spend quite a lot on a good base product, as long as it performs!
As you can see the glass bottle and gold packaging is very luxe and chic, it also comes with a PUMP. Thank god, for me there is nothing worse than spending a lot of money on a foundation and then having to pay extra just for a pump, so thank you YSL!
What I loved the most about this foundation is, it glided on to my skin giving me the coverage I needed, without it looking mask-like on my skin or feeling like I was caked in make up! I love the great coverage but with a light weight feeling, it’s like a good skin day in a bottle.
Being an oily skinned gal, any foundations offering me dewy skin, I apply with serious caution however this really does leave my skin looking glowy, not greasy. I’ve gone six hours without having to blot and in my world that’s impressive for a non-matte foundation. It didn’t oxidize, it didn’t highlight my large pores and it didn’t slide off my face.
I just wish it didn’t contain SPF because on a night out, it’s not going to end well when it comes to photos taken with flash,
which is such a shame as I really love the finish on my skin.

I also received a mini sample of their blur primer, you can’t see in this photo but it contains tiny gold glitter pieces, do not worry these do not show on the skin!
This primer has a gel like texture it feels like silk on my skin, and a little amount goes a really long way, it does exactly what it says on the tin…
blurs my unsightly pores away! It has made me realise that I don’t have to use matte primers and foundations all the time, it is possible for oily / combination skin to have a glow, without looking greasy!
Overall I was really impressed with this foundation, have you tried anything from the YSL Touche Éclat range?

I haven’t tried anything from YSL, period! 🙁 Out of my budget. I’d really love to try this out though!

I verge on the oily skin side, so this sounds amazing! Dewy foundations always scare me a bit too. xx

Ive always been scared of this foundation and range because I have combo skin but this sounds great. Ive never tried any makeup from YSL before x
This is my favourite high-end foundation! The finish and coverage are beautiful. I haven’t tried it yet since YSL changed the formula, still sounds lovely though.
i have tried long ago and it has a real great coverage! never heard of the primer instead..im so curious!

I haven’t tried anything from YSl however, I’m in love with their packaging! You’ve really showcased it well in your pictures. I’m also really oily-skinned naturally, so applying anything onto my skin is a disaster waiting to happen, really. If I was willing to splash out, this would look to be a good product to try!

I usually stick to mattifying primers as well, but now you’ve made me want to try the YSL one! As for the foundation, I personally think it’s great it has SPF. The more products contain it the better for me, and I’m not too bothered with the ‘side effects’.
It looks gorgeous, I’d love to try it but it is quite expensive! :/

This looks really good! YSL isn’t readily available in the Philippines so I’ve no idea where to get this. But a dewy-finish foundation that doesn’t leave you oily? Sign me up!
I haven’t tried anything from YSL apart from their lipsticks, but have heard so many good things about their concealers and foundations. The primer sounds amazing – I’m willing to try anything to disguise my huge pores! Might have to get myself to a YSL counter and have a chat with one of the ladies there – a little treat to myself!
