Today I’m sharing with you what’s on my nightstand, yes, of course, I removed a bottle of water and a Twirl wrapper (or two) before taking these photos. I try and keep my bedside table as de-cluttered as possible at the moment. Most of my skin-care is kept in the bathroom and books and magazines are in the bookcase next to the sofa. We want to keep the bedroom a room just for sleeping, so we keep TV watching to the living room and phones to a minimum before bed if possible.
I always have an invisi-bobble to hand at all times, whether it’s on my wrist in my handbag or dotted around somewhere on my nightstand. I don’t know about you but I cannot sleep with my hair down, it annoys me so much and my hair ends up a hot mess. I try and pick a few up every time I’m in Primark because invisi-bobbles are the new Bobbi pins, where do they all disappear to? It’s a mystery. My glasses are also always close by because I put them on the minute I wake up. Anyone who fake tans regularly will know that the key to not looking like a loaf of tiger bread is to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise. I use this body lotion (this is my third bottle now!) from &other stories on my neck and decolletage every night before bed to help prevent this. This moisturises is light-weight, sinks into the skin fast and leaves me feeling soft and smelling nice before bed, lovely.I normally try and use hand cream before bed every night but I recently had a reaction to something which caused a pretty bad eczema flare-up on my hands and left them all sore and cracked so whilst they heal I’m using this nail oil from Nails Inc on my hands and cuticles to keep them soft and hydrated whilst my hands recover!I was recently sent this coffee oil face serum from UpCircle to try,I used to shy away from oils and serums as I can have an oily t-zone I always worried it would turn me into a total greaseball but oh, how wrong I was. This brand is cruelty-free and vegan, I’m enjoying this serum so far, the packaging is also plastic-free and 100% recyclable, so big well done to them, love, love love, that! Check out more of their products over on Beauty BayI always remember my mum telling me that the skin underneath your eyes is the most delicate, she would always tell me off for rubbing my panda eyes in the morning. I have mentioned this Estee Lauder eye cream before this is my second jar of the stuff, it’s really nice to apply it’s more like a gel than a cream. I put this on every night just before going to sleep, I feel like some women see eye creams as a bit of a faff and an unnecessary step but it’s second nature to me now. This little guy is a lip balm, I leave the tube of heavy-duty stuff in my handbag (Blistex relief cream) as it’s a little too thick and too strongly scented to put on just before bed. Girls have lip balms everywhere, nightstand lip balm, handbag lip balm, car lip balm, always one never too far away.A little Diptyque candle and my new Gucci earrings that my boyfriend bought me, I can’t sleep in earrings and I’m terrified I’ll knock them off in the night and end up hoovering one up that I keep them in their little box overnight, you know, just to be safe.
What’s on your bedside table?
