What’s in my handbag? Spring edition

I spotted this bag online on River Island in the sale from £45 down to £25, I wanted to buy it at full price, so when I saw it was in the sale, I couldn’t resist it. Blush peach and pink makes a nice change from my dull, gloomy black winter bag! What do you think? I love the silver hardware and snake skin style zips. It’s a structured bag and feels really sturdy, I can’t stand soft, saggy bags, they never look new for long! This bag is also available in a grey and taupe if blush pink isn’t really your colour…

Every time I buy a new bag, it’s almost therapeutic clearing out all of my junk that I seem to accumulate out of nowhere, you know things like the odd chocolate bar, receipts galore, odd change that always escapes my purse. So here’s what I’ve been keeping in my new de-cluttered handbag.

Soap and Glory’s Hand Dream, my hands are usually dry all year round but, especially in winter. I like to carry a tube of this around in my bag for when I’m out and about. As most Soap and Glory products it smells amazing, and leaves my hands feeling silky soft, a handbag essential for sure.

My trusty Primark purse, finally at just a few weeks away from turning 25, I am using a purse like a real grown up adult. I usually ended up throwing my debit cards and spare change straight into my handbag, because I always fumble around at checkouts and panic-throw my stuff into bags! This has resulted in lots of lost bank cards and money in the past…oops.

My keys, complete with silly novelty key rings (of course) both from h&m I still can’t believe I accidentally ordered two of the bow ones, which I have now sent to Josie who won my instagram giveaway, so it came in handy in the end. My chanel lip balm and lipgloss, they always feel so chic, and elegant to use much nicer than pulling a tin of vaseline out of my bag. A nice treat every now and again.

Hand gel, I usually use this out and about before I eat especially if it’s a sandwich or a Nando’s wrap style lunch! (mmm Nando’s) This one smells amazing, and the bottle is cute always a bonus.
ihpneOf course, my trusty iPhone (and earphones) for music, emails, instagram etc etc on the go. It’s just a shame the battery life didn’t go down SO quickly. There is nothing worse than being on public transport with 4% battery left on your phone.

Little pocket mirrors are always handy to have in your handbag, of course mines pink, heart shaped and has a bow on it… What are your handbag essentials? What do you think of my new Spring handbag?

    I love this handbag! I saw it at full price in the grey, but ended up with a similar style one also in peachy pink and beige 🙂 I wish mine was this organised though, although like you said it doesn't stay that way for long! Love the cute little mirror and that Primark purse looks so expensive- I love it! x

    OOH! I nearly bought that purse the other day!! 🙂 Love the bag and I had the same thing happen with a jacket…was looking at it for weeks and then Sunday it was on the sale rail so I snapped it up!!!!!

    I'm totally in love with the colour of this handbag ♥ It's also such a steal for only £25!
    A few of my essentials would definitely have to be my keys, my phone (d'uh), a hand sanitizer (for not too hygienic public bathrooms), some mints (to fight that evil garlic breath after having some nice Italian food), my purse (you never know when you're getting into the "feeling spendy" mood) aaand a good lip balm (I'm going crazy when I don't have one at hand)!

    That bag is so cute! I love River Island bags, they all look so great but still can stand the test of time. I've had a backpack from there for a year now! ((I think)). My essentials have to be my purse, headphones and a book!
