My mum surprised me this morning with the news that we were going to pick up a miniature Dachshund puppy for me. At first I thought she was joking, when I realised she was being serious I burst into tears out of excitement and happiness. So here he is, he is a chunky little thing. He looks a lot bigger here but in real life he’s so small!
He’s only 10 weeks old and is currently fast asleep on my knee as I type this. I have happily been thrown into puppy-parenthood. I am constantly watching what he’s doing, he’s already tried to run off with nail polish and loves giving kisses. I’m so happy he already seems right at home. What do you think? Isn’t he cute!

Oh god… I already had an obsession with miniature Dachshunds and Dachshunds and now I think this has sent me over the edge. In some parallel universe my boyfriend WILL surprise me with one on Christmas Day… *sobs*

Aww he's so cute!! 🙂 What a lovely surprise so close to Christmas, we use to have a Dachshund with the exact same colour coat but sadly she broke her back and had to be put down 🙁 that's the only thing I would say watch out with him, that make sure he doesn't jump about to much or run up and down stairs a lot since their breed is prone to back problems 🙁

Now, I'm normally not the biggest dog lover in the world, as a matter of fact I have a serious phobia since I was a kid because I was chased my 3 massive dogs when I was 7 years old. But Becky your puppy looks so cute and innocent, it's impossible not to fall in love with him. Will I be able to go near him? Probably not (Yes I'm scared of puppies too.) but I certainly don't mind looking at cute pics of him. 🙂
