Summer is here, meaning sunny days and lighter nights, the perfect time for dining al fresco with friends, family and the pooch. With thoughts of summer parties in my mind, I headed to my local TK Maxx store to hunt down some outdoor entertaining essentials. I absolutely love shopping at TK Maxx, both in-store and online, because at 60% less than RRP there is always something for everybody, no matter what your budget or style. TK Maxx is full to the brim with incredible finds at low prices, and you know that that means – more parties and more great finds to shout about.

One of the first things I laid my eyes on in store was this gorgeous wicker picnic basket, I couldn’t believe it was only £24.99! Such an amazing find, I fell in love with it even more when I opened it up to see a gorgeous tropical print inside. It contains two sets of cutlery, two plates and two plastic glasses. It’s lightweight so it’s easy to carry around. This will definitely be a staple product throughout the summer. Perfect for picnics at the beach, a sunny day at the park or even camping (if that’s your thing).
Ta-Dah! Isn’t it gorgeous?
As you can see there is lots of room inside for snacks and goodies. The perfect little picnic hamper. And no picnic is complete without a blanket, so I picked up this gorgeous purple and white plaid one, it is seriously soft, and one of the main things I love about it, is that it has a water resistant backing meaning no wet bottoms if the grass is a little damp! But let’s face it us Brits never let a little rain stop us from enjoying the outdoors! The blanket also comes with a practical handle and strap so it’s easy to fold away, throw over your shoulder and attack the day!

My next find was a carafe, usually used to pour wine… but it was a school night, so I filled it with lemonade, sliced lemon and fresh raspberries instead. This was just £2.99, yes you read that right £2.99 (RRP £7.99) An absolute winner in my eyes, the perfect addition to a Pinterest worthy picnic spread, am I right?! I know it will be that item that I just have to brag to my friends about.
With wicker on my mind, I couldn’t resist this shabby-chic style wicker basket for just £6.99, we used it to carry the bread and blueberry muffins in, but I would also use it for storage inside my home, it would make a perfect rustic addition to my kitchen.

To decorate I bought this gorgeous teal green tea-light holder. The perfect way to brighten up any patio or table and candle light is always more flattering than natural light so makes for dreamy social media pics to share your spread with friends.
When the sun started to set, and the wind picked up it got a little chilly. We opted for a hot chocolate in my new favourite mugs. I am head over heels for these duck egg blue, gold speckled mugs. They are absolutely b-e-a-utiful. For just £3.99 I bought two, I could have bought ten. That’s what I love about TK Maxx, I can walk in knowing there will always be something different to bag and I don’t have to think too much about the purchase!
These white paper lantern string lights were another fabulous find at just £5.99 (RRP 12.99) They are battery powered so perfect for adding a glow to your garden (as long as it isn’t raining of course!) I think these will also look gorgeous draped over my headboard.
With regular deliveries each week, bringing up to 10,000 new items in to the store I am spoilt for choice and always leave finding a total gem! One of the things I love most about TK Maxx is the thrill of shouting about the savings to a friend, and when it comes to summer parties you can bet that if you are sat around my table I’ll be bragging about my finds.
What do you guys think of my outdoor dining essentials from TK Maxx?
Which item is your favourite let me know in the comments!
