Mammoth Lakes, Mono County, California has to be one of the most majestic places I have ever visited. I mean just look at it. This was the road we drove down, it looks like a screensaver straight from my laptop. We stayed at The Westin Monache resort, Mammoth. The views from the village resort were absolutely incredible, both day and night. We even bumped into Russell Crowe in a restaurant in the village, yes really (I was totally starstruck!) Here’s some photos from my trip, I hope you enjoy…

Look at this little cutie waiting for his owner outside ‘Bear Creez Pizza den’

A short drive from the hotel was the breathtaking Convict Lake, there were Bear warning signs absolutely everywhere but sadly we didn’t see any! We were so out of breath simply from walking around because the elevation was 7,000ft! Thank god the hotel had heated pools, hot tubs and elevators galore!
The lake water was insanely clear and of course, absolutely freezing!

The village was full of quaint little shops, bars and restaurants, it felt like something right out of a movie. We had some fantastic food, from stone oven-cooked pizzas which we enjoyed at Campo’s to ginormous BBQ glazed ribs at Smokeyard, super friendly staff there too, the waiter made our evening.
One of my favourite things about the village in Mammoth Lakes, was the fairy lights that were dotted around absolutely everywhere, in the trees, around the buildings, it felt so surreal and just magical. They also had giant fire pits for everyone to sit around and huge Jenga blocks to play with, so cute!
Look at that dusky pink sky, amazing. It’s hard to explain but something about this place just felt homely, from it’s crystal clear lakes, to the smell of the pine trees and the fresh air hitting your face the minute you stepped out side. The people were SO friendly here, everyone always had a smile on their face and always wanted to talk or say hello – little things like that make such a big difference.

Everything looks so cute here!! x
