Laguna beach was one of the most beautiful beach towns *bursts into Laguna Beach theme tune* who else used to love that show? I seriously couldn’t believe it that the five days we were there all the way from a little town in the UK, Lauren Conrad (eek) was also in town for her new book signing, sadly you needed a ticket, and the cue seemed to go on all night but still I loved that she was there the same time as us! 
We stayed at a small, quaint hotel, literally a stones throw away from Woods Cove beach, from the balcony we could see the sea and the steps down to this gorgeous beach, which we had to ourselves most days. 
The Rooftop Lounge is an incredible open top bar with views of the ocean, it is extremely busy but if you can wait it out for a table right next to the balcony it is so worth it, especially during happy hour! Drinks are 2-for-1 and we even spotted some Whales whilst we were sat there, crazy!
The beach houses that were right on the sea front were to die for they must cost millions, easily the views that they had every night and every morning were simply outstanding. A lot of the locals went down to the beach with their friends, family and dogs to sit and watch the sunset each evening, so sweet.
Come sunset the sky was lashed with oranges, reds and blues, it looked like an oil painting. Laguna Beach was so relaxed and laid back, people walked around with no shoes on carrying surf boards. Dogs everywhere (always a bonus in my eyes.) If you are in the area you must try Gina’s pizza, it was so popular with the local teenagers and family because it was so cheap yet fantastic quality and free refills!
As we had a rental car, one day we drove to Newport Beach for the afternoon to check it out…
After walking along the pier, we went into a bar to watch some of the Newcastle match, bars in America really aren’t like bars and pubs at home, this one was full of men and I mean men, it was so cool though, they were all so friendly and chatty. The donuts looked amazing and were so cheap for a huge box full but sadly they had more of a cake like texture (so odd!) So I gave them to the lady and her little boy who ran our hotel, she was over the moon with them so at least they didn’t go to waste!

I never watched LB but i was obsessed with The Hills! Still find it hilarious how Steph is now on MIC 😛 Lauren was definitely my fave and i love reading her blog now! I admit i clicked on this photo instantly, thinking of Laguna Beach for that reason – didn’t disappoint 😛

Wow, this just looks beautiful! Those sunset pictures are gorgeous – I’d love to see something like that in person. The doughnuts look awesome too, but sorry to hear they didn’t actually taste like proper doughnuts!
