We recently took a trip to Vancouver, Canada. I have always wanted to visit Canada and will certainly be back. Our hotel was right in the city centre, as we wanted to explore both the city and the more rural areas.
We visited Stanley Park, to see it in the fall was amazing, with all of the beautiful different coloured leaves. You can hire bikes to have a ride around the seawall, but we decided to walk to burn off the Five Guys from the night before.
One of the days we headed up to Grouse Mountain, there’s a free shuttle bus that runs from Canda Place that will drop you off and pick you up for free! I was in awe at this baby deer that made an appearance, such beautiful creatures. We also met the resident bears Coola and Grinder, one of the friendly volunteers told us some fun facts about them, it was amazing to see them in real life.
Be sure to check our Granville Public Market, (we hopped on the little ferry that only cost a few dollars for a return ticket!) we were in awe at the quality of the fresh fruit and vegetables available. You will also find a huge assortment of cakes, pizza, bratwurst’s, hand-made chocolates, toffee apples and that’s just the food! There are lots of cute little shops full of trinkets and souvenirs, you can rent boats and book excursions too!You have to pay a visit to Gastown, even if it’s just to see the iconic steam clock which you can hear whistle every quarter hour. Gastown is full of bars, art galleries, souvenir shops and food trucks!
I absolutely loved Canada and can’t wait to go back one day and explore some other parts of it such as Banff! So happy I got to experience Vancouver in my favourite season! Next stop – Hawaii, photo diary coming soon.

I lived in Vancouver for three years and absolutely loved it. It’s always fun to see my own country through a visitor’s eyes. Beautiful photos!

Oh hey, I’m visiting Vancouver right now! Today is my last full day here 😀 Yesterday we walked the full length of the Stanley Park Seawall. It was a long walk and it was tiring, but we saw beautiful sights and I felt very proud of myself afterward. The cappuccino I had 2/3-ish through the walk was so satisfying (we took a lunch break at a restaurant), especially since it was chilly out. // I’m in loooove with your photo of the Gastown steam clock! I spent my second day in Vancouver at Gastown ^-^ -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
