Pretty stationery excites me. There… I said it.
I can’t explain it, I am drawn to fancy notebooks, stickers, and pretty pens. I could spend hours looking through the cute sticky-notes, to the patterns on the washi tapes, novelty push-pins etc, you get the gist.
So, when I spotted the Kate Spade 2016-2017 planner of dreams on offer in TK MAXX, of course I bought it. The small handbag sized one was down to £4.99 and the larger one which I bought was down to £14.99. The front is covered in large gold polka dots, the inside is a mixture of cream and blush pink with beautiful fonts and tabs. At the beginning of each month there is a little note on seasonal things to do for that month. It makes me happy, I don’t know why it just does. You will see further down in this haul what I recently bought to combat the fear of ruining this stunning journal with my ugly writing. You can see a bit more of the front of the planner here, ahh it’s just so bloody gorgeous. If you are really surprised at the novelty pink sausage dog pen, then you must be new here?! wink, winkGel pens! Who remembers scented gel pens from their teenage years? Sat sniffing pens during science… my favourite was popcorn or bubblegum. They smelt so good. Sadly these aren’t scented, but they are super sweet pastel colours. This may sound slightly crazy but I even asked the lady in Paperchase to let me try these on paper before buying them. There’s no way in hell I wanted the ink to sink through to the other side. The fear is real. All of these pens for just £5.00 – bargain. I am hoping these will make my writing look cute, neat and colourful.Yes, you are reading correctly another diary. I know, I know my bad. I wanted to keep my Kate Spade one at home, so I bought this one to throw in my handbag! In all of the excitement I stupidly failed to realise that I can’t use this until August – brilliant. Obviously it’s blush pink. This was quite steep at £14.00(?!) but some of the others felt a little tacky… I can’t even justify it to you OR myself, I just wanted the blush pink one. It shouldn’t bug me that the pages are quite yellow tinted but it does.Next up on the list of pointless stuff becky bought but she did not need. Washi tape, with unicorns, little stars and glitter. £8.00, I don’t know what happens when I go in to stationery shops, a strange mist comes over me and before I know it I have spent a small fortune.
What do you guys think of my haul?
