Instant firming beauty shot – REN £36.00*
It takes a lot for me to be really blown away by a skincare product, but I am so glad I found this, I was going to tweet about it instantly as I was so excited but there’s no way I could have fit it into 140 characters. I have a few very fine lines on my forehead, they shouldn’t bug me but they do. I personally wouldn’t go near botox or fillers as I am just too much of a scaredy-cat it’s as simple as that. Stood in my bathroom, I massaged in two drops of this serum and didn’t think anything else of it. Five minutes later I glanced in the mirror and I actually gasped out loud, my forehead looked tight yet smooth, mu skin was firmer and the lines were SO much less visible, dare I say this is sort of like very temporary botox in a bottle?! I am really excited to keep using this and see what the long term effects are!
Skin Defence SPF 50 – The Body Shop £16.00.*
I will hold my hands up and say that until very recently I was one of those people who didn’t really bother with suncream in the UK on most days. I know, I know, naughty me. What I love about this moisturiser is it is SO light it has more of a milk / water type consistency than a cream , it sinks into my skin within a minute or two, there is no scent or stickiness and my skin is protected. It makes SPF quick and easy!

Tea Tree Oil – The Body Shop £8.00 The Body Shop*
I am lucky enough to not suffer from spots these days, they tend to come and go just the odd one (unlike my horrendous teenage acne, but that’s another story!) When I do get the odd spot, I don’t like using a product or a treatment across my whole face to target just one spot or blemish. This usually means non problem areas of my skin dry out. I have been using this tea tree oil to target the spot and area around it without affecting the rest of my face! I usually dab a q-tip and pop a drop or two onto the blemish and over a day or two and helps get rid of it! I will say that I can’t stand the smell, but it’s worth it!
What are some of your favourite skin care products to use during the summer?

I would love to try the Body Shop Skin Defence SPF50. I am a fan of the Body Shop products, only if we had a shop here (it closed down many years ago)! Thank god for online shopping haha!

I love the sound of the REN skincare serum!
I got a mini version of the Ren Beauty Shot in a M&S beauty box I bought on a whim and it really is great and just works instantly. I told myself I was going to buy the full size version when I get the chance and you just reminded me! xx

🙂 it really is instant I was shocked that it seriously did what it claimed and so fast!
I think everyone is taken by your description of the Ren Beauty Shot! It sounds really amazing. I also have a few lines here and there that show up and honestly I just like the feel of firm skin. I should try this!

I’m a big fan of skincare products, so this post is right up my street! I really want to try some more products from REN, as I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far and heard so many great reviews of products I’m yet to try. The SPF moisturiser from the Body Shop sounds amazing. I’ve been on the lookout for an SPF product, as like you, up until now I just haven’t really bothered. So I’ll definitely be giving this a try!
