In my last blog post, I mentioned my new favourite fake tan brand. Since then summer has well and truly arrived with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures reaching 27 degrees on the daily. Here are some of my summer beauty favourites I’ve been loving…
I recently received a gorgeous bouquet of pink roses from Elemis to celebrate their pro collagen cleansing balm being released in a limited edition rose scented, in support of breast cancer care. This cleanser has been an all-time favourite of mine, it melts away makeup with ease, without being harsh on sensitive skin, leaving my face feeling moisturised but not oily. Have you ever tried this cleanser? The 200g tub is currently on offer for *£68.00 worth £82.00 scroll down to shop the post!
I have always been a fan of Paul & Joe’s beautifully packaged products. This pearl primer in the shade 02 “Bon Bon’ £25.00* illuminates skin giving a perfect dewy finish. This primer feels light on my skin, sits well under makeup and gives a gorgeous glow. If you are after a hydrating primer and something to make your skin look more radiant this is for you.
I can’t bear heavy sticky body creams in the winter let alone during a heat wave this rose scented ‘melt in’ body lotion from Roger & Gallet *£14.00 has been my go-to! This body lotion contains no parabens or silicones and doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy. The scent is long lasting without being overpowering, I have just noticed they have hand creams available *adds to basket* A little tip is to leave a body mist or body lotion in the fridge to help you cool down on an evening. I mean sure, a bottle of Victoria’s Secret Body mist does look a little odd next to the milk but it keeps you cool and smelling great at the same time. Us Brits aren’t used to so much sunshine.
Whilst Elemis is my favourite go-to cleanser, on mornings and on days I’m not wearing much make-up I have been reaching for Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser *£8.00-£15.00. I did find this dried my skin out a little on non-t-zone areas so if you have dry skin this might be something to bear in mind. I am fully into the Glossier hype however and have just ordered a cloud paint duo so watch this space.
I have recently fallen back in love with Essie nail polishes, this one is in the shade ‘Lovie-Dovie’ a gorgeous bright pink a perfect pop of colour for summer, looks great against a tan. I tend to use brighter shades on my toes and a classic nude on my nails. What about you?
