My trip to the York designer outlet.

I recently visited the York designer outlet, I had heard very good things from my family and friends. I have to say I left feeling very impressed! There were tons of brands to choose from, the outlet itself was spotless, there were lots of people shopping but the outlet had a calm and relaxing feel to it, I didn’t feel rushed or lost in the hustle and bustle of people, which makes a very nice change! furla pursesThere’s so many incredible brands I had no idea were available to me just 45 minutes from my front door and at a discounted price! If you’re from the North East, you will know high end brands are often hard to come by around here (unless you order them online) which usually means lots of postage to pay and you can’t try anything on until it arrives. There’s brands such as Reiss, The Kooples, Ted Baker, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and the list goes on! I love the fact that there’s free parking available, it just means there’s more to spend on designer goodies…right?!lindt york designer outletHowever the York designer outlet isn’t just all about fashion, theres lots of food shops, such as Lindt, this shop smelt absolutely incredible, every Lindt chocolate flavour you could think of! The photo above is of a Lindt pick and mix, I can’t lie to you, it took all of my energy not to jump in head first. There’s also Thornton’s, and a Cadbury’s store too. Upstairs there’s lots of restaurants for every appetite and budget. I loved that you have the option for a quick coffee at Pret, but right opposite there’s a McDonalds. There’s also a Wagamama’s, Pizza express, Subway, and a Ed’s easy diner which I can’t wait to try. My Mum absolutely loved her first Wagamama’s and the staff were so friendly and helpful.furlaMy mum and I both shopped till we dropped (thankfully for us, it’s open till 8pm on weekdays) there’s so many great offers that will be perfect for Christmas presents. (So no peeking, you know who you are!) I obviously treated myself to a few things too, would you be interested in seeing a haul of my goodies in a future blog post? Let me know in the comments!michael kors york designer outletHave you ever visited the York designer outlet? I just wish I had visited sooner, it’s always nice to treat yourself to something special every now and again but when it comes with a bargain price tag, it just feels that little bit better. After shopping we slumped into Starbucks for a latte and caramel hot chocolate before heading home. If you want to find out more information about brands / opening hours or to just have a nosey feel free to visit the York designer outlet website.

Where I live here in the states is quite middle class so the two closest malls to me are outlet malls! They’re the only malls I’ve ever worked out and they get quite nuts especially during warm weather and holidays. It’s always nice to have an outlet option to check out before a full price store!

I’ve never been there but it sounds amazing and somewhere I’d love to visit, I have been to Cheshire Oaks which sounds a similar thing? Unfortunately it’s a long way from me, but I love places like that, and those Furla bags were dreamy <3 xxxx

I love designer outlets! The closest one to me is Cheshire Oaks and there’s a new Gucci store there too – saves going all the way down to Bicester Village.

I can’t wait to visit York Designer Outlet, wondering how it compares to C.Oaks in terms of brands and products.

When I go to my local designer outlet, I’m terrible in the Lindt store. But they have the most delicious chocolate! (And also do my favourite, the white chocolate ones with strawberry in!)

    Darn, now I’m craving them…

York outlet is ok but after visiting Bicester and Cheshire Oaks I was disappointed. I love handbags and they both have Lulu Guiness and Mulberry.
