This October Birchbox are letting you choose between two boxes. Option 1 is the Stylist guest editor Birchbox, containing products picked by Sylist’s associate beauty edit Joanna McGarry. Or you can choose box option number 2, the back to basics Birchbox, which contains some great products that you can use every day on a daily basis. Below are some spoilers and I’ll tell you what is inside the two boxes, maybe it will help you make up your mind, for which one you will go for this month!
Birchbox One: Stylist guest editor.
As I said this box was put together by Stylist’s beauty editor. So if you’re a beauty buff, this box may be for you! This box contains five deluxe products, from some amazing brands. If you choose this Birchbox, here’s what you will find inside.
100% pure fruit pigmented lip glaze full size. (worth £19.00)
This pocket-sized lipstick is super nourishing on the lips, perfect now winter is here. It contains avocado and cocoa butters along with rich fruit pigments to keep your lips hydrated whilst adding a pop of colour.
Parlour by Jeff Chastain.
This spray is perfect if you’re a fellow frizzy haired gal (like myself!) Spray 4-6 squirts on to the ends of damp hair, to help protect your hair against heat damage and hold style for that little bit longer. The best part about this spray is that it doesn’t only protect your hair, it smells of peaches, dreamy.
Rituals yogi flow foaming shower gel
Okay, this just oozes luxury. I feel much better carrying this around in my travel bag, than a plastic bottle of shower gel. The rose scented gel turns to foam, when it comes in to contact with water, I am so glad i was introduced to Rituals, through the October Birchbox, I am so tempted to try some other products from them now. Fellow water babies, you will love this product.
‘When’ Travelmate sheet masks.
I have been wanting to try one of these sheet masks for quite some time, this claims to, refresh your skin and lock in moisture leaving your skin nice and soft. I will just have to remember I am wearing it as I think you’d get quite a fright if I answered the door wearing a white mask, with eye, nose and mouth holes!
Bioderma Sensibio H20.
How cute is this mini Bioderma bottle?! Perfect to pop in your wash bag, or even your handbag! I love mini versions of products like this as I have never tried Bioderma before so I will be excited to see what all the hype is about as it’s pretty legendary in the beauty blogger world!
English Laundry no.7 A signature scent for her.
This smells lovely, a fresh white linen scent, mixed with musk and rose geranium, a floral scent, if you’re still clinging on to summer, this winter.
Birchbox two: Back to basics.
This box is all about basic products, five beauty staples and essentials that do what they say and do it well. So, here’s what inside option number two…
Eyeko fat liquid eyeliner in black full-size (worth £12.00)
This product makes applying eyeliner so much easier, it’s smudge proof, ultra-black, and glides on effortlessly, perfect for autumn and winter inspired smokey-eyed make up looks. All hail this chubby eyeliner.
Beaver professional shampoo
I have yet to try this product but as my hair is often quite dry, I love the fact that it is a super moisturising shampoo, which gently nourishes the hair due to it containing avocado oil and aloe vera!
This little mini Bioderma bottle is aimed at those with dry skin, so it cleanses away dirt and make up without drying out the skin and locking in moisture. I love that in either box option you get a sample of Bioderma!
Regenerate Enamel science advanced toothpaste
This was a really interesting product for me as I actually use an enamel protecting toothpaste already, so I will be interested to see how this one works on my pearly whites. This claims to reverse the invisible early signs of enamel erosion!
Seche Vita Dry fast top coat full size (worth £9.00)
I was delighted to see this was included in this box, as I have been wanting to try this for absolutely ages, I just never got round to buying it or I always forgot! I know beauty bloggers rave about this product, as it leaves your nails touch dry within minutes – perfect! No more smudged nails here.
Beaver professional moisturising conditioner
I am interested to try this as my hair is always slathered in conditioner, to help combat dryness and split ends, booo.
What do you think of the October Birchbox options? Would you pick number one or number two?
