My mum and I were kindly invited to Thorpe park hotel & Spa in Leeds for a day of pampering and relaxation. We couldn’t believe how easy it was to find, just off A1 M it was like a little hidden gem. We headed to the spa entrance and signed ourselves in. We were shown the ropes, given our robes, towels and flip-flops and we were set for the day.
The pool area was lovely and calm, we enjoyed using the hot tub and the sauna, before lounging out on the beds by the pool reading the magazines and papers provided.
We decided to order some lunch before our Spa treatments, still in our robes and slippers we headed to ‘The Courtyard’ it was such a beautiful setting.
The Staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was drenched in sunlight, such a gorgeous room to sit and have a spot of lunch.
As well as a full selection of meals available on the menu you could have a slice of cake, macarons, or fresh croissants.
I loved the little touches around the courtyard, how sweet are these teacup flowers?!
In the end we decided to sit in the section that overlooks the swimming pool…
I eventually decided on the cheeseburger with skinny fries, and my mum ordered plaice goujons and chips.
Look at this b-e-a-utiful cheeseburger, it was absolutely huge… it tasted incredible though.
All washed down with an Mojito (well it was a treat day!) for me and a latte for my mum.
We both agreed we were extremely impressed with the food. My only complaint is not being able to manage a dessert! It was almost time for our treatments. I had chosen a 25 minute neck, back and shoulder massage and my mum decided on a facial. The blonde lady in the spa reception area could not have been anymore helpful, she made us feel extremely welcome whilst we waited and she was just so friendly and approachable.
We waited in a relaxation room, we helped ourselves to coffee and ice-cold water. I was called for my treatment first. I was put at total ease and asked if I had any main areas to focus on during my massage. I sit at a computer a lot so I asked for my shoulders to be worked on, hard!
What an incredible massage, seriously one of the best I have had, after kindly checking if the amount of pressure was okay, I was left to totally relax and I am almost sure I fell asleep at one point!
I absolutely loved my visit and didn’t realise it was so close, both my mum and I agreed we would recommend and go again! Have you ever been to Thorpe park hotel & spa?

Oh man, after reading your post, now I want a spa. Right after a cheeseburger!

Ooo this looks heavenly! I love avoid spa but you can’t actually do much when pregnant so for now I have to just live vicariously through your post.
That place looks amazing! Sometimes bright, white spaces are more pleasing than overly decorated ones x
