The only reason i made these Hershey’s kisses cookies and cream bars (with oreos) is because I bought myself a huge bag of the Hershey’s kisses. If I didn’t do something, I’d sit and eat the whole bag. So I thought I’d bake these for my mum to take into work. Hershey’s cookies and cream kisses are white chocolate, stuffed with little chocolate chip biscuit. So good, but so bad. So off to Pinterest I went on the hunt for a recipe I found this one from picky palate but I didn’t have all of the ingredients in, I ran out of brown sugar and vanilla extract etc…So I just used what was in the cupboard..and they turned out amazing! My mum who hasn’t got a sweet tooth like me, even asked for a bite because it smelt so good. Then she asked for seconds, I couldn’t believe it!
What you will need
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
1 cup of white sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups of plain flour
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 bag of chocolate chips
10 oreo biscuits
10 hershey’s kisses, cookies and cream flavour.
Pre heat the oven to 180. In a large bowl add 1/2 cup of unsalted butter at room temperature, mix in 1 cup of sugar and 1 egg and whisk until combined. Next add 1 and 1/2 cups of plain flour, along with a pinch of salt and half a teaspoon of baking soda. Whisk for a few minutes then fold add the chocolate chips. This part is kind of fun, place the oreos in a bag and crush (or bash) them with a rolling pin. Or if you’re feeling messy break them up with your hands. Stir well, then line a baking tray with tin foil and spread half of the mix out on to the tray..
Unwrap the Hershey’s kisses and push them into the cookie dough on the baking tray. Then use the remaining cookie dough to cover the Hershey’s kisses evenly. Place them in the oven and leave to bake for around 25-30 minutes. I always love serving desserts warm if possible. Especially when it comes to warm, gooey cookies. So I cut a bit off for me and my mum, oh my god. These taste delicious the melted chocolate kisses are amazing with the chewy warm cookie!
