Cranberry mint spritzer, a summer cocktail recipe.

waitrose high res
A little while ago Waitrose Cellar got in touch and asked me if I’d like to create a summer cocktail recipe. I wanted to create something fruity and refreshing. So I decided to make a Cranberry mint spritzer, complete with edible red glitter and a striped straw (of course) you know me… here’s what you’ll need and how to make it, if you fancy trying it out for yourself.

What you will need:
golden syrup
edible red glitter
ice cubes
1 bottle of vodka
1 carton of cranberry juice
1 bottle of prosecco
fresh mint leaves

How to make:
Pour some golden syrup on a small plate, dip the rim of the glass in the syrup then cover the rim of the glass in the red edible glitter. Place a handful of ice cubes in the glass, then mix 1 part vodka, 2 part cranberry juice, and 3 parts prosecco. Add a few mint leaves to garnish, pop a straw in, then stir and enjoy!

I will be giving away a few of these cocktail recipe booklets on twitter, what do you think of this fruity cocktail? Now we just need the sunshine to make an appearance (and stick around!) You can check out some of the other cocktail recipes on the Waitrose Cellar website

This looks amazing. When the weather is slightly warmer I am definitely going to make and try this. It would be perfect for when friends and family are over in the Summer.

I just thought the most stupid thing EVER: 'why do you put the glitter on the rim before and not after?' d'oh!
