25 things to do this Christmas

Incase you didn’t already know, I love25 things to do this Christmas Christmas, always have, always will! When I was 5 years old I literally passed out on Christmas morning due to excitement (embarrassing but true!) I wanted to put a list together of fun things to do over the festive period. Whether it’s with friends, family, your partner or on your own! I always think of all these fun things to do but then I get lost in the shopping, cooking and wrapping chaos, and before I know it, the big day has arrived! here’s my list of 25 things to do over the holidays, I hope you like it, let me know your fun things to do in the comments!

1. Make a festive playlist full of christmas carols
2. Bake and make a gingerbread house
3. Buy and hang a piece of mistletoe
4. Go ice skating on a outdoor ice rink
5. Drive around looking at all the lights
6. Read Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’
7. Make hot chocolate from scratch
8. Buy and roast chestnuts… on an open fire
9. Have a ‘ugly festive jumper’ swap!
10. Have a movie marathon, with lots of snacks

12. Sort out old clothes and possessions to give to Charity.
13. Bake Santa themed / snowman inspired cupcakes

I can totally relate to this as I love Christmas too and often get swept up and forget to fully enjoy it like I know that I could! Watching Love Actually and The Family Stone is always at the top of my list as well as going to look at Christmas lights. Here in Austin, we have an event called Trail of Lights which is a giant winter wonderland of lights and is always fun to attend as well.

Such a cute and festive post, I love it! I like all the ideas you came up with, they seem so fun! I know what you mean though there’s so much to get done around Christmas time with present buying etc. I think it’s a lovely idea to make time to do one or two of these. Peppermint brownies sounds incredible! 🙂 xx

I love all of these ideas! In our home, we do a lot of them already but reading them has just made me even more excited for Christmas than I was before! I love this time of year too! 🙂

A gingerbread house is absolutely at the top of my Christmas list! xx

  20. November 12, 2015 / 12:57 pm

I love christmas so much. I think the best part about christmas for me, apart from the presents, is decorating the house and wearing christmas-y socks. Yay!

  21. November 12, 2015 / 4:50 pm

Great ideas. We really do not need to do some extravagant things to have fun.

For me baking cookies with kids and their friends, letting them decorate and take back home is a tradition that I can not get away from. Kids get older, yet friends keep asking to come over:0 This is the greatest gift ever!
Watching Home Alone is what I like to do.

I love all these ideas so much! I won’t be in the UK for the first two weeks of December so I think I’m going to write down these ideas and do them whilst I’m on holiday with my dad. Will give us something nice to do in the evenings together. 🙂
