my goals for february

my goals for february

I think you usually have a better chance of sticking to goals, if you write them down. Instead of a list, I am choosing to blog about them! In the hope I will stick to them, I mean they are public knowledge now right?! I have seen a lot of people quoting that January was a practice month, and they are starting again in February. Here is a list of my goals I would like to continue and achieve this month!

1. Keep drinking lots of water.
I finally cracked my fizzy drinks habit, do you hear that? It’s my teeth and dentist cheering me on. I realised it was the ease of a can of coke, not the fizzy drink that I actually wanted. So what I do now is buy bottled water (this doesn’t have to be expensive, Tesco and Asda have their own cheaper range!) I keep bottles in the fridge and one in my bag, its cold, quick and refreshing… I have found myself turning down diet coke’s left right and centre… Who am I?

3. Stop putting off going to the gym!
I wish the weather was warmer and lighter, then I would much prefer to go jogging outside instead of at a treadmill on the gym! Oscar is such a little prince, he does NOT like walking much in the wind or rain. I am determined to be proud of my summer body so I know it’s worth putting the work in now!

4. Continue to use my Cineworld card.
Lately I have been getting a lot of use out of my Cineworld card! I love going to the cinema, I find it really relaxing getting lost in a film for a few hours. Lately I have been to see The Revenant, The Big Short, and many more. I pay for it monthly, so I might as well get my use out of it!

5. Keep using oils in my beauty routine.
I recently tweeted about trying oil pulling, I use raw coconut oil which I bought from my local health shop, swish it about in my mouth for around 15 minutes it has whitened my teeth (I think so anyways!) and is supposed to help improve teeth and gums. I also use it as a hair mask on an evening as blonde highlights leave my hair feeling dry and frizzy. I am loving the benefits so far!

What are your goals for this month if you have any? Have you stuck to your New Years Resolutions?

This is a great list! I find writing down my goals helps me achieve them too. I finished my driving lessons, but I haven’t gone for the test yet. I still need to practice parallel parking, which I’ll have to do with my parents. It seems like a long process, but I’ll be happy when it’s done and I finally have my license. Good luck!

You should 100% carry on your driving lessons… It will be the best thing you ever do Becky! I almost quit because of how expensive it was and ALSO, I had exactly the same problem as you! I felt like my instructor was just making me throw my money away. I mean, how many times can one person learn how to hold their clutch at a junction?!?!
I swapped instructors and passed within a couple of months.
Good luck and I hope you blog when you pass your test soon!!

Hi Becky! Well I had to take my driving test twice, but I also did an intensive course and I think it’s worth it. If you do it without a deadline then it’s more likely to just leave it for another day and so on, but if you think “I have to do this in 1 month” you will do it!

I also wanted to go to the gym, but to be honest… I just decided that I want to do something that I really enjoy like dancing or some kind of activity I like, I just can’t do push ups and repeat… T_T

And can you do another post explaining that coconut oil thing? I’m really interested! Thank you!

I think writing goals down is a great way to keep you motivated and on track. I blogged my goals as well but then I took it a step further and painted them out on a canvas. My dream draft consists of all the places I want to travel too. By painting it, I feel a little more dedicated.

I love making lists full of my goals. I’ve been putting all of mine on the Wunderlist app! Although it’s hard not to spend all my time just adding on expensive rubbish to my shopping list!

    Lovely post!
    Have a fab week x

Love a good list post! ?

I learnt to drive 4 years ago, wasn’t compatible with my driving instructor and then went to uni so didn’t bother learning again. Sat an intensive course in November, 2 hour lessons every day for 3 weeks and loved it! Made me so confident in my abilities because I could see day in day out how I was improving. Also found if I had a bad lesson, doing it every day forced me to get back out on the road and just get over it. Would 100% recommend (I did mine with cats eyes), I sat my test and passed first time and am no whizzing about everywhere!

Good luck with the rest of your goals ?

Really interesting that the coconut oil has helped whiten your teeth! I have been wanting to try it for a while and your comments on it have really inspired me to go and get some! Thanks! X

You should definitely try jogging outside while it is still cold outside, you warm up in no time! Although probably not great fun for your wee little dog 🙂

Best of luck getting back into driving!

I remember when I was about 17? I would put off driving lessons and my driving test because it scared the living crap out of me! I hated driving and thought it was the worst thing in the world, but my advice now is really focus on the lessons and get your driver’s license as soon as you can. It’s actually a great feeling to drive on your own, some drivers are idiots but it’s a great thing to learn and have. xo

Good on you for kicking the soda. I really need to do this too. Sometimes I feel like it, but then there are times when I drink it out of convenience too. Which of course is not satisfying at all and can make me feel icky. Hopefully I can do that this month. I drink quite a lot of water, I aim to make it to at least 2l per day. Although sometimes It’s 5pm and I have only drunk one or two cups. So one of my goals for this year is to drink at least 2l every day. I have heard of oil pulling, but I feel like It would be difficult to swish around oil (or anything for that matter) in my mouth for 15 minutes straight. Do you have any tips that could help with that ? Good luck in achieving your goals.

This is such a wonderful idea and I think that blogging your goals is definitely going to help you reach them! I need to start using oils, moisturizing and taking care of my skin and going to the gym as well. All things that are so easy to put off! Wishing you all the best in reaching your goals this year love!

Good luck! Everything sounds doable and I’m sure you can do it!

  22. February 3, 2016 / 4:24 pm

I would really recommend buying a reusable water bottle and a water jug to keep in your fridge! It’s much better for the environment than buying plastic bottles every week. xx

great tip about the coconut oil becky! definetly going to give that a go! x

I need to take a leaf out of your book with the diet cokes. I’m worried that I’m properly addicted! It always makes me feel bloated too – not worth it!

Good luck Becky. Did you get that spa break at Titanic sorted? A bit of pampering is always a good idea. Would love a follow back from a fellow north East blogger x
