How to: Have a pamper night in your own home.

1. Set the mood.
Turn off your phone (or at least put it on silent) Shutdown your laptop. Light some scented candles and tea lights, to create a relaxing atmosphere in the room. I’m forever repurchasing this Lilyflame candle in the scent ‘blush’ it smells just like baby powder.
2. Get comfy
Tie your hair up in a top-knot, Have a long soak in a bubble bath, then change into your favourite pyjamas or extra large t-shirt no skinny jeans allowed here. I love these brushed sausage dog pyjamas from primark, super cosy.

3. Make yourself a hot drink
Your favourite blend of tea, hot chocolate with whipped cream or maybe even a glass of wine. I love taking half an hour out of my night to just chill and enjoy a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.purity
4. Wipe the day away.

Cleanse, tone, moisturise and gently massage your face. There’s nothing I love more than taking my make up off the minute I get through the front door. I love the feeling of fresh, clean skin once I know I’m in for the night. bon iver
5. Listen to a relaxing playlist
Spotify is great for it’s music selections, I always head to the ‘mood’ section there’s tons of playlists to choose from, happy songs, sad songs, acoustic songs, one for whatever fits your mood. I chose a playlist full of Bon Iver.

6. Moisturise your whole body.

Use a thick body butter, massage it all over your body. I tend to head for light moisturisers when it comes to my body but every now and again I like to use a thick, scented body butter to really nourish my skin. Whilst your just sitting and relaxing it will give it time to sink in.calendar

7. Make little to-do lists
instead of stressing about those emails you haven’t replied to yet, write everything down in a list. Do them later one, by one crossing them off as you go. I always feel much more organised when it’s down in writing in front of me.
8. Get rid of those puffy peepers.
If you don’t have any fresh cucumber slices lying around, try a moisturising eye cream. Placing cold tea bags on closed eyes is also supposed to help reduce puffiness.

What do you think? I love taking the time out to have a little pamper night at home once, maybe twice a week. Especially on Sunday’s… You could always watch your favourite DVD or series, the new Pretty Little Liars episode is calling my name on Netflix.

    I definitely need to have some 'me-time', because my stress level are getting quite high. Something that always relaxes me is watching an episode of a tv-show (ex. PLL). I just turn-off my phone, emails, etc. and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and some snack, while resting on the couch.

    Love this post! Us girls should always take at least a day in the week to pamper ourselves, mine I'd Saturday and I love doing my homemade facials and doing my nails that have chipped in the week aha.

    I love a good pamper night! I admire your willpower though when it comes to turning off your phone, I just can't seem to stay away from it too long, totally addicted! Totally agree with making to-do lists, there's something that feels relaxing about planning the week ahead!

    I always have a bubble bath as part of my pamper nights. There's nothing like soaking all your troubles and cares away!

    Netflix is another essential…Pretty Little Liars is so addicting!

    This sounds eerily similar to my pampering evenings I like to have every now and again, except for the Primark pyjamas, unfortunately they just don't come in a long enough leg length for me!
