Cosying up for Christmas!

We are now well into December, it seems to be completely flying by this year… fairy lights are popping up on trees, wreaths appearing on doors and the frosty mornings are well and truly here Brrr. I have been cosying up for Christmas in my house recently…star-shaped-light
How cosy is this wooden star-shaped light? Would you believe me if I told you it was only £10.00 from Asda? I couldn’t believe the size and quality of this light for the price! It is battery operated, but I think it looks so much more expensive than just ten pounds? I love the white washed effect of the wood. I hope they do some more of these lights in different shapes. I think I will keep this up even after Christmas!yankee-candle-all-is-bright
Christmas is a time for eating, drinking, giving gifts and…  burning ALL OF THE scented candles! I spotted this ‘All is bright’ Yankee Candle in Clintons on offer with 20% off all festive scents, so I also bought my mum one to go in her gift box this year. Fingers crossed she won’t read this. It smells amazing, I had to stop myself from buying more, why are candles so addictive ?
reindeer-slippersI have practically been living in cosy socks and slipper socks, kitchen tiles are way too cold to be bare foot in the winter. I bought these beauties from Tesco for £5.00 I love the little red pom-pom for a nose and the eyelashes, so sweet. Toasty feet, for sure. gingerbread-man-topshop-jumper
This is my 2016 festive jumper, I instantly fell in love with the sequin gingerbread men with santa hats, they are adorable. I wanted something cute, not majorly in your face and mainly not itchy, previous years my jumpers have drove me insane and I have wanted to claw them off after an hour or so! This is a lovely thin knit, and do I have to say it again, look at those gingerbread men, agh! wreath
One of my favourite things to do during the holiday season is to drive or walk around (as long as I am well wrapped up of course!) and look at all of the beautiful lights, wreaths and decorations they are all so unique and individual to each house, I absolutely love it. One house has a giant inflatable Olaf in their front garden (amazing!)  Topped off with a large mug of hot chocolate and Home Alone / Elf / The Snowman when I am back in from the cold!

I’ve been walking around in either moccasins or cozy socks (sometimes both) as well. It’s far too cold to be bare foot. Might even get some hobo gloves for how cold my hands get, hehe.
