Bespoke Pet Jewellery – Oscar in my pocket

If you didn’t already know this little guy *points to picture below*  is the love of my life, so when Jana Reinhardt got in touch asking me if I’d like to try out their bespoke pet jewellery, I jumped at the chance. I have sausage dog socks, pens, notebooks galore, you get the picture. But a piece of jewellery modelled on my very own Oscar… How could I resist?! I was asked to send over a photo or two of Oscar in his typical posey self, we both agreed this one captured his personality perfectly. That cheeky little look saying I know I shouldn’t be on the sofa but here I am anyways… I mean who can stay mad at those adorable puppy dog eyes right?! Not me, because I cave into them every single time, sigh.oscar
So how does it work?
After discussing with Jana and her super friendly team which photo I wanted for the mould, then a little teeny-tiny wax version of Oscar was made, which is then cast in silver. If you’re interested in the sterling silver only version he is available in pin or as a pendant – so cool you can also find out more information on their customer bespoke services over on their website.

Once little miniature, miniature Oscar got back from the casters he was then cleaned up a little, his details carved out, and a pin soldered to the back of him. I think he looks so elegant even in just the silver cast from the photographs, I can tell it’s him! *cue crazy dog lady looks* but seriously it really captures his little face.oscar black tan pin
Jana and her team, then added a little colour to Oscar by oxidising some parts and adding gold plating to other parts of him to show off his black and tan colours perfectly. The bespoke pin arrived in a gorgeous little box, wrapped with a ribbon, so special! I know of quite a few people in my life who would absolutely love a personalised piece of jewellery of their pet, such a personal, thoughtful gift! What are your thoughts?

This is such a perfect piece of jewelry. I would love to get one of my bunny. Oscar is absolutely adorable, and I really want to get a sausage dog of my own – they’re so beautiful.

Precious! I have a little black and tan terror too and he gets away with it all. I have all types of doxaganda and the thought of having something custom made is brilliant!
